Some services provided are not covered under our contract with the NHS and therefore attract charges. Examples include the following:
- Medicals for pre-employment, sports and driving requirements (HGV, PSV, taxi, parachuting, flying, diving etc.)
- Insurance claim forms
- Educational establishment medical forms
- Prescriptions for taking medication abroad
- Private sick notes
- Vaccination certificates
Please check with the reception team whether an appointment is required. There are many standard requests for information where you will not require an appointment to see the GP, as the form or report can often be completed by referring to your medical record.
The fees charged are based on the British Medical Association (BMA) suggested scales and our reception staff will be happy to advise you about them along with appointment availability.
Because our NHS work is obviously a priority, we ask that you allow up to 21 days for your non-NHS request to be completed. We always try to complete it more quickly than this, but please remember that the doctors have to prioritise NHS clinical work over anything else.
Please note the doctors' policy at this practice is to decline to sign passport applications.
